Welcome! I’m Dr. Shakoor Ahmad

I am a passionate mathematician, researcher, and educator dedicated to exploring the intersection of applied mathematics and real-world problem-solving. With a Ph.D. in Mathematics from COMSATS University Islamabad, my academic journey is driven by a deep curiosity for mathematical modeling and its potential to address complex global challenges.

My Research Focus

My primary research revolves around applied mathematics, with a specialized focus on Fractional Differential Equations and the Mathematical Modeling of Diseases. I am particularly interested in how fractional-order models can provide more accurate simulations for epidemiology and financial mathematics.

Throughout my career, I have:

  • Developed novel fractional models for diseases like Dengue and projected household wealth indexes.
  • Authored six research papers in top-tier international journals (including PLOS ONE, IEEE Access, and Results in Physics), accumulating a total Impact Factor of 21.849.
  • Utilized advanced numerical methods (such as Runge-Kutta and Adams-Bashforth Moulton) and MATLAB programming to simulate and analyze complex systems.

My Teaching Philosophy

Beyond the research lab, I am deeply committed to education. Over the years, I have had the privilege of teaching at several esteemed institutions, including RIPHA International University, Rawalpindi Women University, and TMUC.

I believe in making rigorous mathematical concepts—ranging from Numerical Analysis and Multivariable Calculus to Linear Algebra and Mechanics—accessible and engaging. My goal in the classroom is not just to impart knowledge, but to equip the next generation of scientists and engineers with the analytical and problem-solving skills they need to excel.

Academic Credentials & Awards

My academic foundation includes a PhD (2023) and an MS (2018) in Mathematics from COMSATS University Islamabad. I am honored to have been recognized for my academic excellence through several awards, including:

  • The NEST Scholarship during my Ph.D. studies.
  • The PEEF Scholarship during my MS studies.
  • A laptop was awarded by the Prime Minister of Pakistan for academic achievement during my MS program.
